Collections

I find myself pondering the absurd scale of geological time in comparison to biological life on earth. The serendipity of collections, and human interactions. The rocks I have collected are from various states, and that have formed in drastically different ways, have all arrived at the same place with one commonality; I thought they looked cool. Now fossils, hagstones, chert, quartz, and various other stones, minerals, and crystals create a collection that reflects on my travels and interests, as well as the geological circumstances that formed them. One day, all of them will be recycled back into the core of the earth, and begin again.
